“The snowmobiling tour was loads of fun - we very much enjoyed it. Sebastian, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and was the right balance of chatty and quiet during the drive. He knew all the answers to our questions and made sure we were well looked after”

From Cluj: Winter Walking Trip on the Great Mountain

2.Winter Walking Trip on the Great Mountain

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 5 reviews · 6 hours · from $115Best value

Travel by air-conditioned minibus from central Cluj to the Great Mountain for a guided winter walk. Your English-speaking guide, Tudor, fits snowshoes over normal hiking boots, leads you through snowy forests, and explains local wildlife, plants, geology, and culture. Tea, coffee, water, and Romanian chocolate are included.

“Being new to snow shoeing this was definitely a new and exciting experience for my partner and I. It was quite challenging as we had about a metre of snow, however, Tudor helped to motivate us. It was also great to stop and have a hot tea in the snow. Tudor was also very helpful giving us tips to explore Cluj!”
